Palm Beach Escorts: Police: Former cop picked up prostitutes while on duty

September 23rd, 2009 by palmbeachhobbyist

FORT LAUDERDALE — A former Fort Lauderdale
police officer picked up prostitutes and forced them — at least once at gunpoint — to perform oral sex on him, while he was in uniform and in a marked police
car, according to police records.
Gerome Steven Wright, 26, of Sunrise, was
officially fired from the department on Sept. 21, 2007 after little more than a
year on the force.
He could not be reached for comment.
Fort Lauderdale police have issued a
probable-cause affidavit, charging Wright with armed sexual battery on Lauren
Kalb, a 30-year-old admitted prostitute, and accusing him of engaging in sex
acts with at least two other street walkers: Heather Harris, 37, and Rhonda
Francois, 45.
Wright was terminated not for his alleged
interactions with prostitutes, but for failing to adequately perform his job
duties — including failure to fill out police reports completely and
accurately, lack of knowledge about the law, driving outside his assigned
jurisdiction while on duty, and sleeping on the job. He did not satisfactorily complete
his probation, police said.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Rap fight in Florida ends with stabbings

September 20th, 2009 by palmbeach-stripper

PALM SPRINGS, Fla., Sept. 20 (UPI) — Police in Palm Springs, Fla., say four men were stabbed after a fight broke out involving rappers competing at a local strip club.
Palm Springs Police Department Capt. Mark Hall told The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post that details regarding the stabbings early Saturday morning have not been determined, but all four victims did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.
“We never determined who stabbed who or with what,” Hall said. “We looked for improvised weapons. We were not able to find broken glass or anything.”
“They just walked out of the club,” he added regarding the victims, who were not identified.
Hall said the stabbings occurred after two competing rappers, along with two other men at the Palm Springs strip club, got into a fight for unspecified reasons.

Palm Beach Adult Entertainment: Palm Beach Billionaire’s Non-Prosecution Agreement Unsealed

September 18th, 2009 by adultpalmbeach

Prosecutors Agree Not To Prosecute Epstein On Federal Charges
POSTED: 2:03 pm EDT September 18, 2009
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — An attorney for one of the victims of Jeffrey Epstein told WPBF 25 News that a plea agreement between prosecutors and the Palm Beach billionaire was nothing more than “a secret sweetheart deal” that let the convicted sex offender off easy.
Legal documents unsealed Friday detail the non-prosecution agreement between Epstein and federal prosecutors.
Epstein was released from the Palm Beach County Jail in July after serving a little more than a year of his 18-month sentence for paying underage girls for sex.
In exchange for Epstein pleading guilty to two felony counts of soliciting prostitution from a minor, prosecutors agreed not to prosecute him on federal charges assuming he fulfills his sentence and probation requirements.

Palm Beach Adult Entertainment: Plant an ACORN, Grow a Bloviating Hasner

September 18th, 2009 by adultpalmbeach

Can we cut through the bloviating for just a second here? ACORN turned over those 888 faked voter registrations itself. Those registrations were pieces of paper that never went live. Paul Newman and Mickey Mouse were never officially registered in Florida. And no one bearing the voter cards of Paul Newman or Mickey Mouse ever went to the polls. Much less ever voted for B. Hussein O’Bama.
Not only did the so-called ACORN voter fraud go nowhere but the perps are now being arrested in Florida and will no doubt be prosecuted. Does this really require a House investigation? At — excuse me — real taxpayer expense?
Hasner should be reminded that intrepid videographer Hannah Giles actually visited ACORN offices in Miami with her prostitute schtick — and got nuthin: ACORN employees in Miami advised her to go to a battered women’s shelter.

Palm Beach Adult Entertainment: Jeffrey Epstein’s secret deal with federal prosecutors

September 18th, 2009 by adultpalmbeach

CBS12 just received an 11 page plea deal that Jeffrey Epstein reached with federal prosecutors in 2007.
An attorney for some of the teenage girls who were Epstein’s victims calls this plea deal “atrocious” and he says “It’s an embarrassment to the U.S. Attorney’s office.”
He says they had evidence that could have put him away for 33 life sentences and he got a sweetheart deal.
This has been sealed for months– and Epstein’s lawyers fought to keep it from being made public.

As part of the deal, billionaire Jeffrey Epstein was sentenced to 18 months in jail for solicitation of prostitution, followed by 12 months house arrest.

Among the new details: Epstein agreed to pay for an attorney to represent all the victims who came to his home for sex acts.

Palm Beach Escorts: Disgraced Financier Epstein’s Secret Plea Deal With Federal …

September 18th, 2009 by palmbeachhobbyist

West Palm Beach, FL (AHN) – The secret deal billionaire financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein made with federal prosecutors is slated to be released to the public on Friday. The federal non prosecution agreement improperly sealed in state court is expected to be unsealed by Circuit Judge Jeffrey Colbath on behalf of some the alleged victims and a request made by the Palm Beach Post.
The deal made behind closed doors is of particular interest due to the high profile caliber of some of Epsetein’s past legal representation. Legal heavy hitters such as Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz and Kenneth Starr were once on the Epstein payroll.
Epstein dodged federal charges by pleading guilty in 2008 to two felonies: procuring a minor for prostitution and solicitation of prostitution. As part of the billionaire’s plea agreement the U.S. Attorney’s Office agreed not to prosecute him on federal charges as long as he fulfills all the requirements of his sentence and probation.

Palm Beach Adult Entertainment: Billionaire Palm Beach sex offender’s secret plea deal to be unsealed

September 18th, 2009 by adultpalmbeach

Following requests by the Palm Beach Post and attorneys for some of his alleged victims, the document — improperly sealed in state court — is expected to be unsealed by Circuit Judge Jeffery Colbath. Epstein’s attorney has unsuccessfully fought its release in court.
The back-room deal with federal prosecutors is potentially all the more interesting in light of the legal powerhouses who have worked for Epstein, including Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz and Kenneth Starr of Bill Clinton impeachment fame.
Epstein ended up avoiding federal charges and pleaded guilty in state court to felony solicitation of prostitution and procuring a person under the age of 18 for prostitution. In July 2008, he was sentenced to 18 months in jail, and later allowed out up to six days a week on work release.
