A Lake Worth man was arrested Friday and accused of assaulting and sexually battering several women throughout the county over the past four years.
Five times in 2008 and 2009, Colin Thompson picked up women on the street, then drove them to secluded areas and assaulted them, according to a Sheriff’s Office probable cause affidavit.
In a sixth case, in 2006, a woman called 911 because Thompson had driven her to a construction zone and she thought he was going to hurt her, the affidavit says. When police arrived, she said that she was able to get out of the vehicle and that Thompson did not touch her.
Two of the six women were prostitutes, and in four of the cases, he said he was taking them to buy or use drugs, the affidavit says.
