A federal judge last month ruled that a tape-recorded conversation between veteran reporter George Rush and Epstein must be turned over to attorneys representing Epstein victim Jane Doe and other victims. The judge ruled that because the information cannot be obtained anywhere else, it outweighs reporter’s privilege.
Rush, who retired from the newspaper earlier this month, played portions of the tape to three people and disclosed the essence of the conversation to two more.

Slain Teacher Was Accused of Exposing Himself to Student
The popular middle school special ed teacher who was shot and killed last week in Riviera Beach was investigated five years ago for allegedly exposing himself to a high school student.
While Calvin Williams, 41, was working as an assistant principal at Palm Beach Lakes High School, he began mentoring an unnamed, male senior at the school, according to a school district police report.
The student told a school detective that Williams gave him his cell phone number, and  the assistant principal would sometimes call at night to talk about personal things. Williams bragged about how many women he was involved with, and called himself a “pimp daddy,” according to the police report.
In May 2005, Williams called to tell the student he wanted to give him $100 for getting good grades. Williams picked up the student at his house, and took him to Williams’ apartment, saying that he needed to finish cleaning up the place.

A man reported seeing two vehicles trying to run each other off the road in the 5200 block of Lake Osborne Drive shortly before midnight. One vehicle crashed, while the other continued down the road. The driver of the crashed vehicle fled, carrying what appeared to be a television. The vehicle had been stolen.

Two Yamaha engine covers were removed from a boat kept in the 2600 block of Duke Court. The covers are valued at $750 each.
Someone cut a license plate on a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of South N Street. The missing portion of the plate had the decal on it.
PROSTITUTION
A suspected prostitute was found to be promoting her business on a website. A deputy arranged a meeting in the 100 block of South K Street. She was arrested, and a search revealed she had marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.
