Palm Beach Escorts: Broward sheriff’s detective suspended after his arrest on grand theft charge

October 27th, 2010 by palmbeachhobbyist

… You have to have integrity to do this job,” Lamberti said. “It’s perplexing that you would throw away your career, your life, your family, for $1,200. It makes absolutely no sense. I can’t explain that to you. I wish I could.”
Burrows is one of nine Pompano Beach-based deputies given the Gold Cross Award in March, a prestigious departmental recognition of heroism involving great risk or serious injury. Deputies exchanged gunfire with a robbery suspect, who survived and was arrested along with two others.
The incident that led to Burrows’ own arrest occurred Dec. 5, when money disappeared from an apartment where marijuana plants had been found by the sheriff’s Selective Enforcement Team. Burrows that day was in charge of the team, which typically targets such crimes as street corner drug sales, prostitution, burglary and loitering and prowling.

Palm Beach Escorts: Broward sheriff’s detective suspended after his grand theft arrest

October 27th, 2010 by palmbeachhobbyist

A sheriff’s Internal Affairs investigation concluded that Detective Albury Augustus Burrows, 40, who has served the agency for nearly 11 years, was the only person who could have stolen money last year from a Pompano Beach apartment where marijuana plants were being grown.
Burrows was taken into custody after being summoned late Tuesday to the sheriff’s Internal Affairs office, officials said. He was freed from jail early Wednesday after posting $1,000 bail.
Burrows is one of Pompano Beach nine deputies awarded the Gold Cross in March for heroism.
He was the officer in charge of the sheriff’s Selective Enforcement Team — which typically targets such crimes as street corner drug sales, prostitution, burglary and loitering and prowling — when the group shut down an apartment with marijuana plants Dec. 9.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: David J. Stern Is No Rothstein; He’s His Own Kind Of Monster

October 24th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

Case in point: The first reader to comment about foreclosure attorney David J. Stern did so on July 28, a week before a depthy New York Times piece on Stern’s dubious role in the nation’s foreclosure crisis.
But you can look on YouTube to see that the company was exposed many months before that story was published.
I’ve been quietly keeping track of Stern coverage, but for some reason hadn’t written about the guy. Good folks emailed me articles and told me to watch Stern because he was the next Scott Rothstein.
And their are similarities, the most eerie of which is that Stern has a … million-dollar-plus Bugatti sports car. The difference is that Stern, unlike Rothstein, doesn’t have two of them. He’s also not surrounded by cops, bodyguards, or keep a stripper up at the Ritz Carlton as far as we know.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Weird News

October 20th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

Weird News
By Travis Leeper
She’s an Eye-Popper
MSNBC reports that Michael Ireland of West Palm Beach, Fl., was rewarded $650,000 after having his eye pierced by a dancing stripper’s stiletto heel. Ireland incurred the injury at the Cheetah Club in West Palm Beach, where a stripper named “Suki” stabbed him in the eye with her heel spike. The event resulted in fractures of Ireland’s skull, as well as a punctured eye socket. Ireland’s attorneys claimed that he now has permanent double vision as a result of the injury. The club settled out of court with Ireland last Thursday, rewarding him over half a million dollars.
Fall Lobsters are 1 in 900 quintillion?
AOL News reports that the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, Connecticut has a new sea-creature exhibit, featuring three lobsters so rare that the odds of seeing them together are roughly 1 in 900 quintillion. The lobsters, one blue, one calico, and one pumpkin, represent the colors of the Fall …

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Michael Ireland Lap Dance Case, $650000 Lap Dance for Permanent Double Vision!

October 20th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

There Michael Ireland enjoyed a beverage and pursued the usual gentlemanly pursuits in such a club. As he sat in a properly angled chair for such endeavors, the happy customer enjoyed a lap dance by one of the club’s dancers. Oh the joys of manhood, but what happened next puts a wet blanket on men’s pursuits everywhere.
We are to believe that Michael Ireland was poked in the eye by a spiked high heel from this otherwise capable dancer named “Suki”. Man overboard!
As a result of the lap dance, Michael Ireland sustained permanent double as a result of damage to his eye. The injuries were the result of a punctured eye socket and broken facial bones from the dancer’s high heels which happen to include a metal heel. Ouch!
According to his attorney, Lake Lytal: “When this case was first filed, many people criticized it simply because it occurred at a strip club. But we feel the $650,000 settlement goes to show that this was a serious case with serious injuries.”

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: HUFFPOST HILL – OCTOBER 19TH, 2010

October 19th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

JEREMY THE INTERN’S WEATHER REPORT – Tonight: Coat time is approaching, but for now, you can get away with a comfy pullover hoodie. Unless you think mid-50s is cold (you’re one of those people, in which case, bring a jacket). We’re still not yet at the time when you’ll feel that skin-piercing cold, so you can get away without winter-wear. Tomorrow: Scattered light showers throughout the day. It won’t be pleasant. Thanks, JB!
Bonus: Playoff Baseball watch: In New York, clear skies. Chance of rainout: slim. Chance of my grandmother being once again disappointed in her Yankees: higher. Curses on Cliff Lee, JB!

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Cheetah Club West Palm Beach $650000 Lap Dance: Michael Ireland & a Spiked …

Cheetah Club West Palm Beach $650,000 Lap Dance: Michael Ireland & a Spiked High Heel
Michael Ireland was allegedly poked in the eye by a spiked high heel of a buxom stripper at the Cheetah Club in West Palm Beach in Florida in 2008, and his injury caused enough damage that the man was awarded $650,000 for the lap dance injury.
He received the cash from a settlement before the case went to court.
NBC Miami reveals:
“The shoe of a stripper named “Suki” punctured his eye socket and broke bones around his eye and nose and the man has permanent double vision, his attorneys claimed.”
Ouch!
“When this case was first filed, many people criticized it simply because it occurred at a strip club,” said Lake Lytal, Ireland’s attorney.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: She Kicks, He Scores…at the Strip Club (it’s Tortelicious)

October 19th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

Welcome to Totally Tortelicious—a review of some of the more bizarre legal stories making news—and there’s certainly no shortage of them.
Talk about getting some booty. A man in Florida who alleges he was injured at a strip club in West Palm Beach when an exotic dancer kicked him in the face, has been awarded a $650,000 settlement.
Michael Ireland received the out-of-court settlement after claiming he suffered a punctured eye socket, broken facial bones and permanent double vision as a result of getting booted in the face by a dancer named “Suki.”
Suki’s side of the story, however, is slightly different. Cheetah (yes—that’s the name of the establishment) boss Rod Kimbrough, said last year that the dancer in question is a “very nice, young small girl” who only kicked Ireland because she had been smacked first. This according to MyFoxOrlando.com. (btw, you can see earlier news coverage of the mess here on this video…)
