Palm Beach Strip Clubs: With mobile want ads, your wish is their command

November 30th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

Neither party knows the other’s contact information. Imaneed makes a phone call that links the two parties, which have five minutes to make a deal. If that doesn’t happen, the client can choose to talk to another business.
Since its June launch, Imaneed has received more than 2,400 service requests, said Willie Morris, who runs the site with founder Matt Lally.
The two have put up their own money to start the site but are now in seeking investors — both locally and out of state — to expand to other metro cities, Morris said.
The new startup has already received recognition in the tech sector, winning a contest for the best location-based app from Twilio, a San Francisco company that provides mobile services for small businesses like Imaneed.
The site is still in an early stage, with most requests coming from Miami — some quirky, (a stripper) and others shopping-related, (a cheap Macbook.)

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Contractor: Pompano activist pushed for ‘contribution’

November 21st, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

Allison, also an elected commissioner in Ocean Ridge, a town in Palm Beach County, tried to ignore the requests for a while but eventually decided she had to file a complaint about Thrower, she told prosecutors.
Thrower said Thursday that he had no comment and referred questions to his attorney, Michael Hursey. Efforts to contact Hursey were not successful despite phone messages left at his office.
In a sworn statement to prosecutors in February, Thrower said he had been interviewed by FBI agents. Most of his statement was withheld under state public records law, on the grounds that it could be considered a confession.
In the segment that was released, Thrower said he was trying to establish himself in project management and business development while working as a consultant for developers and other groups. The former furniture salesman said he also worked security at strip clubs.

Palm Beach Adult Entertainment: Boynton cracks down on criminal activity in adult entertainment businesses

November 20th, 2010 by adultpalmbeach

City Attorney Jim Cherof said that staff chose to increase the number of available sites in order to be fair to operators of such businesses and to make the city’s regulations more defensible if challenged in court.
The city commission passed a 180-day moratorium for adult entertainment businesses on Feb. 2, and since then, the moratorium was extended twice while staff continued to study the issue. Tuesday night, the commission approved another short extension of the moratorium until Dec. 14 to allow staff to finalize the new regulations.
Crime has long been a problem at the city’s adult entertainment businesses, none of which are currently in business. In October, police shut down Platinum Showgirls at 1115 N. Federal Highway following a four-month undercover investigation that led to 30 employees being charged and the owner of the club pleading guilty to racketeering and prostitution.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Strip club holds breast cancer fundraiser

November 18th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

With a sign that includes the feature of the week, one would think the statue is simply an eye-catching invitation of things to be seen inside the long-time strip club.
But this top-heavy sculpture is actually promoting a good cause.
“We are doing breast cancer awareness month. We’re a month late, we were too busy in October so we decided to do it in November,” said manager Stacy Singer.
No one said strippers are always on time.
Singer says donations will be taken all month long from patrons and T’s will match up to $2,500.
The grand total to be unveiled at a Think Pink party Saturday night. The money donated appropriately to Save the Tatas, a breast cancer awareness charity.

She’ll be gone once the fundraiser is over at T’s. She’s apparently only working part-time at the strip club.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Feds, police crack down on violent international gangs

November 16th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

Feds, police crack down on violent international gangs
ORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Agents strapped on bulletproof vests behind empty warehouses and waited for the party to get started at a Hialeah, Fla., strip club popular with suspected MS-13 members, a Central American gang.
As people arrived after midnight, lights flashed from unmarked vehicles as the federal agents and police officers made traffic stops.
“What gang do you belong to?” an investigator with the Multi-Agency Gang Task Force asked a driver. An agent checked the driver’s name in the gang database and let him go.
This scene is repeated frequently outside South Florida bars, homes and clubs as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents work with local police to crack down on violent international street gangs. ICE more than doubled its gang arrests to 126 in the region since 2007 as its partnerships strengthened.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Review: Roger Waters’ "The Wall" at BAC

November 14th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

Clearly, Waters had a co-star behind him onstage Saturday night: The Wall. From the opening moment of “In the Flesh,” when a military dive bomber came screaming down from the ceiling of the BankAtlantic Center and hurtled into the partially built Wall in a fiery ball, to the wreckage behind Waters and band during the final good-byes in “Outside the Wall,” the big brick scrim was a dynamic presence.
The Wall is about half completed when the audience enters the arena, and gradually rises to its full 35-feet when the last of the 424 bricks is wedged into place by unseen workers during “Goodbye Cruel World,” just before intermission.
Throughout the show it is the setting for a trippy parade of projections both arresting (the three-story-tall stripper in “Young Lust” and the slithering stars of “Waiting for the Worms”) and emotional: Bob Slack, a 58-year-old Marine from Kendall was reduced to tears during scenes of kids reuniting with their Iraq-deployed fathers during “Bring the Boys Back Home,” which drew loud applause from the fist-pumping audience.

Palm Beach Escorts: West Palm Beach man charged with attacking wife with machete

November 10th, 2010 by palmbeachhobbyist

The report said the woman had a 2-inch cut on her nose and bruises on her thighs and arms.
She was treated at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach and released.
In court this morning, Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Krista Marx ordered Kennedy held in lieu of $25,000 bail and ordered he have no contact with the alleged victim.
David Kennedy said he had witnesses who would show the victim wasn’t telling the truth.
“I didn’t do nothing to her. She’s lying on me, Miss Marx,” Kennedy said.
“OK, we’re not having the trial right now. That’ll be on a future date,” the judge replied as Kennedy was led off.
Jail records show Kennedy has been arrested 13 times since 1999, on charges that include domestic battery, false imprisonment, sexual battery, prostitution, drug possession, DUI, and traffic offenses.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Rachel’s Strip Club in West Palm Beach: The Girls Are Nice, but How’s the Steak?

November 10th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripper

Perhaps this is where winning recipients of the Florida Lotto come to dine. Or maybe it’s the carefree customer who fearlessly takes out cash advances against his/her credit card despite the 17.99 percent interest rate. Either way, Rachel’s isn’t hurting for business in the restaurant or club.
The gentlemen’s lounge/restaurant offers two options for its clientele to enjoy the locally proclaimed “best steak” — inside an elegant dining room adjacent to the main stage or at a table beside all the hustle and bustle of the strip club. If you decide to ogle some nude dancers while enjoying your meal, employees will graciously set up a spot directly beside the stage of your choice — and since a $20 entertainment fee is included in the bill, it may make sense to dine near the action.

Father Knows Best? Dad Busted After Cops Find House Full of Vice
Cops found stripper’s pole in living room, pot in ashtray and liquor in teen daughter’s room
Updated 11:45 AM EST, Tue, Nov 9, 2010
What takes Anthony Genovese out of the Father of the Year running? Was it the stripper pole in his living room? How about the marijuana cops found in an ashtray? Then there’s the liquor bottles found in his teen daughter’s room.
At the very least, Genovese is one bad dad, if you believe the police report.
The 41-year-old was arrested Friday at his house of iniquity in Lantana on child neglect charges, according to the Palm Beach Post.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputy found the items during a quick search of the 1,200-square-foot home, which included the bottle of rum, vodka and champagne in the 17-year-old’s room.

Palm Beach Escorts: Fort Lauderdale Police honor officer after 40 years on the beat

November 9th, 2010 by palmbeachhobbyist

Bill Dunsford, a resident of the Twin Lakes neighborhood in northwest Ft. Lauderdale, speaks with police officer Brad Gaughan who has been with the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department for 40 years. “I’ve learned over the years that if you take the time to listen to people, life goes much better,” Gaughlan says. (Susan Stocker, Sun Sentinel / November 3, 2010)
Brad Gaughan has patrolled Fort Lauderdale
streets longer than any other police officer in the city Police Department’s history. Now, he has the badge to prove it.
The agency honored Gaughan with Badge No. 1 to mark his 40
anniversary on the beat.
Over the span of his career, Gaughan has returned lost pocketbooks, chased prostitutes down alleys, helped quell a riot at a soccer match and soothed a dying, burned child in the back of a patrol car as his partner raced to the hospital.
