Church gets $12K to fix former strip club

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., Jan. 20 (UPI) — A Florida congregation preparing to move into a closed-down strip club said it received a $12,000 donation from a megachurch.
Eglise Assemblee Evangelique de Christ, a 250-strong congregation of mostly Haitian-Americans, paid $600,000 in May to buy the former home of Platinum Showgirls at 1115 N. Federal Highway and has since fallen on difficult financial times while working to fix up the space to the satisfaction of Boynton Beach city officials, The Palm Beach Post reported Friday.
Pierre Dumont, pastor of Eglise Assemblee, said Leo Abdella, a pastor and director of community relations for the Christ Fellowship megachurch in Palm Beach Gardens, visited the site the day after reading an article about Eglise Assemblee’s financial hardships.

Anthony’s whereabouts have been a mystery since she was acquitted of
murdering her daughter, Caylee, in July. In recent days, however,
reports indicate that the 25-year-old moved to Port St. Lucie or nearby Palm City.
The welcoming management of strip club Body Talk in Port St. Lucie
put a message on the nudie bar’s marquee saying “Hey Casey We Are
Hiring,” according to TV station WTSP.
It’s a serious opportunity, said the manager, adding that Anthony
seems to be qualified, perhaps a reference to infamous photos of her competing in a hot body contest while her daughter was allegedly missing.

The Body Talk bar made the offer over the weekend through a sign, “Hey Casey We Are Hiring,” WPBF in West Palm Beach reports.  The TV station called the bar, and the manager said, “We’re hiring dancers, and she seems to be qualified.”
It sounds like a Carl Hiaasen novel, doesn’t it?
People magazine has reported that Anthony is living in Port St. Lucie. Tatsha Robertson, a senior editor at People Magazine, told CNN’s “Early Start” this morning how writer Steve Helling figured out Anthony’s whereabouts. She is serving a year’s probation for check fraud somewhere in Florida.
