Strip Club Gets New Life as a Church
Posted on: 8:48 pm, April 23, 2012, by Christie Walton, updated on: 09:02pm, April 23, 2012
Boynton Beach, Fla. — A Florida neighborhood is glad to see an eyesore replaced by a church. A former strip club is now a house of God
The New Evangelical Assembly of Christ Church now calls the Boynton Beach community home. The church used to be the Platinum Showgirls Strip Club.
A young man who attends the church says he spent his teens sneaking into the strip club.
Warfield Alexandre, 24, says he was just 16-years-old when he would sneak in the club. The Boynton Beach Community Development Agency says the club was a haven for drugs, prostitution and other problems. In October of 2009, the club was shut down after being raided by a SWAT team.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Florida Strip Club With Drugs and Prostitution Converted into Church

April 23rd, 2012 by palmbeach-stripper

One young man reminisces about the former strip club, saying he used to sneak in through the back when he was only 16. It was called the Platinum Showgirls club back then. “Most of the strippers would be on the wall over there,” he said, “and then on this side there would be DVDs of pornography, CDs and everything.” He is now one of the church’s most active and enthusiastic members, saying that he and the building had both been transformed. He said it seemed like he was “meant to be here.”
The club, which not only housed strippers but was also a supposed haven for drugs, prostitution, and was “eyesore,” was raided by SWAT teams and shut down in 2009. The building underwent about $100,000 in renovations, and the city of Boynton Beach couldn’t be happier. One has to wonder what a strip club-turned church looks like on the inside—maybe they kept the mirrors on the ceiling, or turned one of the poles into a cross?

Leonard William Halley | PBSO Booking Photo
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Boca Raton Police were called to a home in the 1000 block of West Royal Palm Road where a loud, large party was underway. Perhaps folks there thought the cops were there to dance and disrobe, because two of the party goers reportedly took to the cops like water to a sponge.
Leonard Halley and Diana Halley were charged with battery to a Law Enforcement Officer when they allegedly attacked two officers trying to break up a fight.
The officers cuffed and stuffed the Halleys who were later enjoyed a closed house party at the Palm Beach County Jail.
The Halleys were later released. A court date is pending.

JACK WAGNER’s SECRET SHAME: HIS LONG LOST STRIPPER DAUGHTER
Published on: March 29, 2012

DANCING with the Stars” actor/ singer JACK WAGNER is hiding a secret shame – his newfound daughter is a stripper and was caught shoplifting.
While the former “Melrose Place” star is strutting his stuff each week on the “DWTS” dance floor, his daughter – 23-year-old Kerry Anne Hentrich – has been shaking HER tail feathers at the notorious Spearmint Rhino strip club in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Both Kerry and Jack wept as he introduced her to the audience on Nov. 5 at his Miami show, called her “the new light in my life” and later took her with him on a concert cruise. And that’s where she first admitted to him that she was a stripper.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis offered the lead roles in Jupiter Ascending

March 26th, 2012 by palmbeach-stripper

What a year Channing Tatum is having.  He was part of the ensemble action film HAYWIRE with Steven Soderbergh, which opened to mostly positive reviews.  Then he starred in the very successful THE VOW with Rachel McAdams.  Then Channing Tatum received rave reviews for his comedic work in 21 JUMP STREET (which might mark the first time he’s received positive reviews for his acting).  Oh, and it’s only March.  Channing Tatum still has a part in G.I. JOE: RETALIATION coming this summer, as well as a reunion with Steven Soderbergh in MAGIC MIKE, which is based off his own life as a male stripper.  Yep, it must be pretty good to be Channing Tatum right now.  Channing Tatum’s good 2012 makes it easier to forget about SON OF NO ONE and THE EAGLE from 2011.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Owner of Pompano Beach company violated probation, feds say

March 25th, 2012 by palmbeach-stripper

Owner of Pompano Beach company violated probation, feds say
Former VP of Commodities Online had been on probation for bank fraud
March 24, 2012|By Jon Burstein, Sun Sentinel
Louis N. Gallo may have been on federal probation for bank fraud, but his real estate and investment business was booming last year, so much that almost $24,000 in company funds were spent at a Pompano Beach strip club in just three months, according to federal authorities.
Gallo’s probation officer said the New Jersey transplant told him it was “crazy” how well Pompano Beach-based American Financial Solutions was doing. Then, just days before his probation was set to end, federal authorities leveled a series of probation-violation allegations against Gallo, accusing him of grossly underreporting his personal finances and associating with a convicted felon.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Happy Saint Bureaucrat’s Day

March 18th, 2012 by palmbeach-stripper

There was a big Saint Patrick’s Day parade in town (Delray Beach, FL) yesterday that, like almost all cultural events in the U.S. these days, was completely taken over by government bureaucrats and turned into an exercise in state worship and propagandizing. The two-hour parade was composed of almost nothing but scores and scores of cops and firemen. (Why do firemen have to march, by the way? Do they march into house fires?). There was no mention of Saint Patrick, or any hint that the holiday was even named after a saint. Quite the opposite: The crowd was filled with loud, cussing drunks, women dressed like strippers, a few cross dressers, etc. There were of course gigantic American flags everywhere, people singing the Star Spangled Banner, a few soldiers dressed in camouflage.

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Letter: Voters should research U.N. Agenda 21 carefully before going to the polls

March 17th, 2012 by palmbeach-stripper

But IMO, you will not stop that unless you address the underlying cause- population growth.
There’s just no way we’ll ever have more rights to our property the larger we grow in population.
Year after year they’re making more and more laws because year after year there are more and more people affected by what someone else is doing.
But we either have comprehensive plans that dictate how we’ll grow and what the zoning property will be or we don’t.
Because if one man/woman has the right to do with his/her property what they want, then all men/women have that right. That means I could open a machine shop on one side of your home and someone else could open a gay nudie bar on the other. Behind you, someone could put in an apartment house for migrant workers. A crematory. Whatever…

Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Hukilau Returns This April with Plenty of Polynesian Pop and Zombie Drinks

March 1st, 2012 by palmbeach-stripper

Artists will pay tribute to the covers of classic exotica albums and tiki treasures will be sold at Miam’s Harold Golen Gallery’s curated Exotica Art in Hi-Fi exhibition. There will be tiki themed films, a bowling event, symposiums on the history of Mai-Kai and Samoan tattoos. Sven Kirsten, the man accredited with launching a tiki revival, will be hosting a presentation and book signing. Jeff “Beachbum” Berry will discuss a morbid mixology with “Revenge of the Zombie: The Tale of Tiki’s Deadliest Drink.” For a full schedule of events click here. Most importantly, for those who love to listen to the surf, keep reading to see what musical acts will be gracing the Hukilau stages this year.
If Nashville’s Martian Denny Orchestra can’t get you on the waves with their surfy instrumental classics, nothing will.
Angie Pontani of the Pontani sisters will provide a classy alternative to the raunchiness of the strip club. Catch the burlesque performances on Thursday, April 19, at the Best Western Oceanside and Friday, April 20, at both the Best Western and Bahia Cabana.
