residents who ran an escort service with underage girls have been sentenced to prison as part of a nationwide crackdown on child exploitation, authorities said.
The two, David Pierre, 34 and Jenna Linden, 24, were sentenced in federal court after they both pled guilty to charges of sex trafficking of a minor earlier this year. Pierre was sentenced to 10 years in prison and Linden was sentenced to five years in prison, both including a period of supervised release as sex offenders, authorities said Tuesday in a statement.
Authorities said that Pierre ran an escort service from his Fort Lauderdale home in 2008 that he advertised online. Linden helped Pierre in transporting the girls to customers throughout South Florida, according to a press release from the investigations branch of U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.
In November 2008, a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old were discovered by agents to be victims of the escort service, authorities said.
