Dalia Dippolito allegedly tried to kill her husband within a few months of their wedding before being set up with a police officer posing as a hit man.
Michael Dippolito said he met his future wife — now charged with trying to kill him via a hitman — when he paid for her escort services one day at his office.
“She’s actually an escort,” he said in the August interview, which was released this week. “That’s how I met her. She came to my office one day. I called her and solicited her to the office and she came.”
“After that one time,” he said, “we started dating.”
In documents released this week, police in Boynton Beach said Dalia Dippolito tried to find a hired killer, ending up paying someone who took her money and failed to follow through, The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported Tuesday.
