Exline’s case came before the board because it had to wait for his release from prison, which took place in April 2008, board counsel Bonni Jensen said.
Another case that may be decided within a month: that of Liberti.
Liberti was sentenced to 18 months in prison in October 2006 after pleading guilty to mail fraud and witness tampering. He was released last year.
Liberti took $66,000 and a $2,000 watch as payoffs while filing false complaints with city agencies against the owners of a massage parlor and a nightclub. Liberti was trying to force the properties’ owners to sell them, partly so the massage parlor could be turned into a brothel, federal authorities said.
