McKinnie, who made the first Pro Bowl of his eight-year career since the Vikings drafted him out of Miami in the first round as a backup, and Panthers Pro Bowl defensive end Julius Peppers both missed Friday’s practice. However, Peppers showed up at Lockhart Stadium Saturday and is expected to start Sunday.
McKinnie forfeits his share for appearing in the Pro Bowl, which will be either $22,500 or $45,000, depending on which team wins.
McKinnie actually detailed his South Beach partying route on his Twitter account Bigmacvikings with his last entry saying he was “leaving the beach headed to 2 KOD’s,” which apparently is a Miami strip club known as King of Diamonds.
