Palm Beach Strip Clubs: Lauderhill could put 1-year moratorium on strip clubs
April 24th, 2010 by palmbeach-stripperLAUDERHILL The city will vote Monday night on whether to impose a one-year ban on new strip clubs and other forms of adult entertainment businesses while it revises outdated laws.
If it passes, the moratorium would begin on May 10 but would not apply to businesses currently operating with valid permits. However, it’s not clear whether this would impact current businesses that need to renew city permits during that time period.

Davie’s adult business law was challenged in court by Club Eden in 2006, when the club was denied permission to go from exotic dancing to an all-nude establishment. Eden now operates as an all-nude strip club, but as part of a settlement, it will have to move from its current site at 2101 S. University Drive to an industrial zone within the next two years.
